When given the title 'EX' I thought of the concept of expiry dates. I felt that I could apply these to things that were not food. After toying with a few ideas, I decided to focus on out-of-date concepts, such as Racial Oppression, Famine, and many other things that should have been removed from society a good while ago.

Originally, I planned to produce entire packaging relating to the concept in question, but realised I could make it much simpler. By using a barcode to print the word in question, and placing a date underneath, I added a level of intrigue

The barcode can be scanned with a free application, showing one of the out dated concepts. I printed them on fluorescent paper, so that wherever they were placed, they would be instantly noticeable. 

This concept is fairly simple, I produced it in just a few days, but the idea is one I believe could be taken forward into something more complex.
